A remake of the classic 1935 MAD LOVE which starred Peter Lorre. Orlac (Mel Ferrer) loses his hands in a terrible accident. In their place, the hands of a criminal are transplanted with a macabre twist. Lee is a sheer delight as a sleazy magician who blackmails and torments Orlac. Carrell, Lee's assistant aids him by by having an affair with Orlac.
