Ralph Richardson, and Dorothy Hyson A rare jewel called "The Eternal Light" comes into the possession of Professor Moriant (Boris Karloff) after being stolen from a famous Egyptian tomb. Believing the jewel will give him immortality, Moriant instructs his servant Laing (Ernest Thesiger) to wrap the jewel in his hand as he is dying. After Moriant is sealed in a tomb, Laing steals the jewel. Moriant grimly rises from the tomb to recover his prize, starting a reign of murder and terror in the household.
