Stolen drugs and the disappearance of two men, lead police to an abandoned tin mine. One man crawls out of the mine, is injected with curare and pronounced dead by Dr. Blood. Dr. Blood's son is attracted to his father's widowed nurse who is still in love with her dead husband. He exhumes the body and transplants a living heart, bringing the corpse to life. When the monster attacks the nurse, the son and monster clash, solving the mystery of Dr. Blood's Coffin. This film has the atmosphere and felling of a "Hammer" film from that era.
